Suzhou has over 2,500 years of rich history. It became one of the ten largest cities in the world. Since the 10th century Song Dynasty, it has been an important commercial center of China. The city’s canals, stone bridges, pagodas, and meticulously designed gardens have contributed to it’s status as one of the top tourist attractions in China. also known as “Venice of China” or “Venice of the east”.
Suzhou’s GDP surpassed 188 billion USD in 2015. GDP growth rate of more than 13.2%,year on year since 2012. Suzhou’s economy is based primarily on its large manufacturing sector- China’s second largest including: iron and steel, IT and electronic equipment and textile.
The Suzhou industrial park (SIP) is the largest cooperative project between the Chinese and Singaporean government. It is beside Jinji Lake, which lies to the east of the Suzhou old city.
Suzhou Industrial Park Export Processing Zone was approved to be established by the government in April 2000, with a planning area of 2.9 Km sq. This is also set up by the Chinese and Singaporean government.

With their experience laid out in a series of short video films, Maxxelli hopes to give a better insight for different families on how to cope with relocation and reduce settling-in stress for every in-bound expats/assignees and hope to achieve a good work and life assignment experience in Suzhou .
